Vancouver Photobloggers is a cool newish blog with a flickr group post feed for those that obsess with the camera. There are currently 15 members with 62 photo posts and growing. “A collective of Vancouver photographers seeking out others to collaborate with on upcoming shows, share techniques and just see what happens…” (quoted from Vancouver Photobloggers ‘about’ page). The latest offerings of photos are outdoor photographs with warm earthy tones.
This appeals to me as I’m in a mode to stop taking courses and experiment not only on my own but to learn from others techniques. I missed out on Kris Krug’s photocamp at the Northern Voice 2006 moosecamp conference earlier this year due to work committments but I’m hoping to catch the next one. I’m interested in lomo and cross-processing techniques as I’m an artsy fartsy student photographer and I still do film.

Hey! Thanks so much for the shout-out, we just went live a few days ago - but are really looking forward to connecting and inspiring fellow local photobloggers - be it new or old!
We’ve got some really neat things comin’ up : DIY articles - neat pinhole cameras made out of stuff you have sitting around your house.
We’ll have people sharing some creative lighting and post production techniques and once the group is bigger - pulling a daily photo of the day flickr pool… and of course all the photo related news aggregated from around the web.. and who knows what else… its a collective - and whatever someone wants to post, you’ll see!
So, Yeah! - Keep in touch!

Looking forward to photocamp and covering the event.
I may have a presentation on Library 2.0 in the works for it. I’m intrigued by how google and other social software have impacted users expectations for post-secondary library-type online experiences.
